Penis rings (or cock rings) and sleeves are perhaps the most underrated means of maintaining an erection and controlling ejaculatory flow. Whilst many men are quick to reach for the various medical (and supposedly medical) quick-fix cure-alls that modern quackery has to offer, these same men all but ignore the simple and often less costly options of a penis ring or sleeve. Furthermore, in decades past, certain stigmas were attached to the use of penis rings that accused the wearer of being a less then virile male specimen. Thankfully, such laughable opinions have now been relegated their proper place (namely the garbage disposal) and the use of penis rings and sleeves (or penis extensions) is quickly becoming the choice of the informed consumer. Quite simply, the placement of a penis ring—either at the base of the penile shaft or around both the penis and testicles—slows the escape of blood from the penis prior to and after ejaculation whilst delaying ejaculatory flow by inhibiting the vasa deferentia's ability to move semen up to the ejaculatory duct and/or through the urethra.
A penis sleeve works in a similar fashion. By placing the hollow but snug portion of the sleeve over the penis, both the flow of blood out of the penis and the flow of semen through the urethral tube is slowed. The use of a penis ring or sleeve will not only assist in delaying ejaculation but also in the maintenance of an erection after ejaculation has taken place. Penis rings and sleeves should fit snug enough to work effectively; however, be careful to ensure that the ring is not too tight as is may cause delicate blood vessels to break. Penis rings and sleeves can be safely worn for between 30-40 minutes and always use a lubricant to prevent any pain or injury.
